Privacy Policy

This explains what information is collected when you buy or use anything on this site or the members platform, and what it’s used for. Written plainly, on purpose.

What’s collected

• Your name and email address, at checkout or sign-up.
• Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. This site never sees or stores your card details itself.
• If you apply for the 12-Week Performance Protocol or complete the Course 2 questionnaire: your answers, which may include health, training and personal circumstance details you choose to share.
• Messages you send through the members platform’s chat.
• Basic usage data (e.g. which lessons you’ve completed), so the platform can track your progress.

What it’s used for

• Delivering the product and platform access you paid for.
• Sending account-related emails — purchase confirmation, login access, and replies to messages you send.
• If you don’t opt out, occasional email updates about new content or offers.
• Reviewing your application or questionnaire answers personally, to provide coaching that’s actually relevant to you.

Your information is never sold to anyone.

Who it’s shared with

Only the services that make the business run, each only seeing what they need to do their job:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — account and access emails.
• Brevo — the optional marketing email list.
• Supabase — the database behind the members platform.
• Vercel — hosting.

Health and sensitive information

Anything you share in the Course 2 questionnaire or a Protocol application (injuries, medication, circumstances) is only ever visible to you and Benjamin personally, behind a login. It’s never included in notification emails or shared with any marketing tool.

Cookies and advertising

This site uses standard advertising tracking (Meta Pixel, and Meta’s server-side Conversions API) to measure which ads and pages lead to a purchase. This tells us which of our own marketing is working — it doesn’t give us your personal browsing history elsewhere.

This tracking only operates outside the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland. If your connection is identified as being in one of those regions, or if that can’t be reliably determined at all, this site does not load the Meta Pixel, does not create or read Meta’s advertising cookies, does not save campaign information (such as which ad or link you arrived from) in your browser, and does not send your purchase to Meta from our servers. None of this affects your ability to browse the site, buy the book, receive access, or use anything you’ve purchased — it only turns off ad-measurement tracking.

Where advertising tracking does apply, it may record which advertisement, link or campaign brought you to the site (for example a UTM parameter or Meta’s own click identifier), which of a small number of marketing concepts you saw, and whether that visit led to a purchase. A purchase may be reported to Meta both from your browser and from our server, so it’s counted once rather than twice. This information is used only to measure and improve our own advertising, and is never sold.

Two different retention periods apply here, and it’s worth being precise about which is which. The campaign information your browser holds before you buy anything (in its own local storage, not a cookie) is kept for up to 90 days from your visit and is never collected at all if that 90 days has passed. If you go on to make a purchase, whichever of that campaign information was current at the time is copied into the purchase and account records this business already keeps — the payment record in Stripe, and, if the purchase unlocks the members platform, your course enrolment, and — if you later apply for the 12-Week Performance Protocol — that application. Those copies are kept for as long as the underlying purchase, account or application record itself is kept (for accounting, tax and account-management purposes), not the 90-day browser window — by that point it’s part of the transaction or account, not a temporary browser note.

That also means advertising-attribution information is not held in total isolation from you personally once a purchase happens — it is stored in its own field, separate from your name, email or any health/training answers, but it is linked to the same purchase or account record those belong to, the same way a receipt is linked to the order it came from. It is never merged into or shown alongside your Course 2 questionnaire or Protocol application answers, and Benjamin reviewing your coaching answers does not see attribution data mixed into them — see “Health and sensitive information” below.

Stripe payments, account sign-in and receiving access to what you bought all work exactly the same way regardless of region — turning off advertising tracking never blocks a purchase or delays access.

Your choices

Email benjamin@likeyourlifedependsonit.com at any time to see what’s held about you — including any advertising-attribution information tied to your purchase — correct it, unsubscribe from marketing emails, or have your account deleted.
